As carpenters, we’re building more than just structures. We’re crafting our shared future by:
to create more opportunities
to focus on collaboration and teamwork
by cultivating our members and leaders
We have chosen to be makers, and we take great pride in our craft. Over a lifetime, we develop the talents and skills that turn concepts into construction. There’s nothing like the feeling of being part of creating something that wasn’t there before.
This sense of pride is also what drives us to deliver for you. With hard work, trust, responsibility and commitment, we help you realize your own goals. In every job and each relationship, we want to be able to look at what we’ve created together with a feeling of accomplishment.
Together with our partners, we live and work in a world of rich diversity. You’ll find this reflected in our people, in our wide range of backgrounds, identities and talents. We commit to attracting and cultivating a diverse workforce grounded in deep respect for one another.
This not only makes us stronger, it enriches what we accomplish for you. We prove that the best results are achieved when each of us is empowered to make our unique contribution.
You’ll always know where we stand. And you can count on us to do as we say. That’s because we begin and sustain all our relationships through honest, open and constructive dialogue. We follow our words with actions, creating bonds of trust with all our partners. It’s why our partners can say that with the Carpenters, they can be confident that we’re all working toward the same goal.
OUR PRINCIPLES
We say what we mean • We do what we say • We address challenges openly and quickly • We listen • We learn from mistakes
Our industry embodies the definition of collaboration – working with others to create something. That’s why we see each job as an opportunity to build not just structures but common bonds. Everything we accomplish, we do through strong relationships – with other trades, GCs, owners, developers, and others. We understand that anything worth doing takes a team. So, before we start building anything on the ground, we commit to building a partnership with you.
One of our priorities is to help you, and our own people, approach the future with confidence. So, we’re laying the groundwork for long-term stability by identifying and nurturing our future leaders, today. The vision we’ve mapped out is one that will guide us over the long-term. We’re cultivating the champions who will advance our priorities and yours for decades to come.
We have a well-earned reputation for developing a leading workforce ready to deliver all the capabilities you’ll need next. Simply put, the more skilled we are, the better the results are for you.
5 Categories of Training:
Pre-apprenticeship • Apprenticeship • Skills Enhancement • Specialty Training • Leadership and Professional Development
In all the markets where we operate, we aim to build the strongest possible presence. In some areas that means continuing our long history as a leading force for the industry. In others, it means establishing and growing our role as the preferred source for the most talented and best trained workforce in the trade.
Our foundations run deep. We are backed by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, a national organization more than 139 years old. Throughout our existence, we have been a tireless force fighting for the highest standards in wages, benefits, conditions and quality on every project. As a result of our success, we attract the serious career-minded people who will deliver the very best for you.
We encourage and support an active and engaged membership. The commitment of our members is represented in their work and through volunteer projects within their communities. We share a deep desire to get involved and a readiness to take on any challenge. All of this translates into our ability to deliver for you. Regardless of the need, the complexity of a project, or the range of resources needed, we’re able to activate the full breadth of commitment and capability to achieve your goals.
